The Tenbury Wells Mistletoe Festival is looking for an enticing, innovative fictional short story that uses mistletoe to tell a tale. What about it excites you?
Prizes: £100 first prize plus a book token, £75 second prize and £50 third prize.
Entries must be received by the Mistletoe Festival on or before 31 October 2007. The winners will be announced in the press during the Mistletoe Festival in Tenbury 1 – 2 December and extracts from the winning stories will be read at a special story event during the Festival.
The Competition is sponsored by Potting Shed Publications, The Tenbury Wells Advertiser and Books Books Books (Tenbury). The judge will be Kate Jones, editor of Young Writer Magazine - a national specialist magazine for writers under 18 years of age. Kate is also a well known, highly respected and very entertaining teacher of writing to groups of all ages.
Submissions should have the author’s name and contact details on the front cover page only, be accompanied by £5.00 entry fee made payable to Tenbury Mistletoe Festival and sent to Mistletoe Short Story Competition, Woodgate Cottage, Bleathwood, Ludlow, Shropshire, SY8 4LX or by email by 31 October 2007.
