The 2008 Mistletoe Auction dates are likely to be 25th November, 2nd December and 12th December. All starting from about 0930 and based at the Little Hereford yard used in 2007 (click here for map). For more information on the auctions contact Nick Champion.
Details of 2007 events are given below. Further information is available in the 2007 Festival leaflet.
Mistletoe auctions are scheduled for the traditional three Tuesday mornings: 27th November, and 4th and 11th December. Timetabling will be 10.00am Wreaths, 11.00am Mistletoe & Holly, 1.00pm Christmas trees. Stock to arrive the day before.
The auction venue will not be at the traditional site (the old Cattle Market site in Teme Street). Instead the auctions will be held at Little Hereford, a few miles to the west of Tenbury. For a location map of the venue click here. More details are available from auctioneer Nick Champion.
Main events take place on National Mistletoe Day, Saturday 1st December.
11.00 –11.15 am
Procession of Mistletoe Queen
From the Primary School to the Regal Steps, joined in the Town by the Bill Brookman and Artemus Stilt Walkers, in seasonal costume.
11.00 - 11.30am
Crowning of Mistletoe Queen
At the podium stage outside Regal Cinema. The Teme Valley Band will be playing prior to and after the Queen leaves. The Unicycling Fairy will also be performing.
11.00am - 4.00pm
Street Stilt Walkers in seasonal costume will perform around the town
