Details of 2007 events below:
Tenbury Wells - England's Mistletoe Town - holds its annual Mistletoe Festival in late November and early December.

Main events for 2007 take place on National Mistletoe Day, Saturday 1st December. Mistletoe Auctions take place in the preceding and following weeks.

This year the Festival is working alongside Tenbury's other Christmas celebrations - the Christmas Lights and Santa procession - to provide a co-ordinated Christmas event.

2007 Mistletoe auctions are scheduled for the traditional three Tuesday mornings: 27th November, and 4th and 11th December. The auction venue will not be at the traditional site (the old Cattle Market, Teme Street). The venue will be out of town at Little Hereford (approx 4 miles). For a map of the 2007 auction venue click here.

The Mistletoe Festival paired up with Tenbury's annual Applefest on 20th October - a celebration of Tenbury's apple orchards (where most of the mistletoe grows!).

BoycieThe Applefest weekend includes an exciting fund-raiser for the Mistletoe Festival and Lights - An evening with John Challis - better-known as Boycie from BBC's Only Fools and Horses and The Green Green Grass.

The event takes place at 7.00pm on Sunday 21st October at Tenbury High School. Details and tickets (£10.00) from Books, Books, Books, Teme Street, Tenbury (01584 819587) or from Tenbury Tourism (01584 810136 or enquiries@tenburywells.info)

About the Mistletoe Festival
Tenbury's Mistletoe Festival began in 2004, when the traditional Mistletoe Auctions, held in the town for over 100 years, seemed threatened with closure. Local people were determined Tenbury's Mistletoe legacy would continue, and so the Festival was born.

From small beginnings in 2004 much bigger Festivals ran in 2005 and 2006. One fixture, established in 2005, is National Mistletoe Day, endorsed by Parliament in 2005 and set to take place on 1st December each year.

The future of the traditional holly and mistletoe sales at the old livestock market is still not certain - the site remains vacant and liable for development. But the auctions continued in 2005 and 2006 and should (to be confirmed soon) again in 2007
