The 2008 Mistletoe Auction dates are likely to be 25th November, 2nd December and 12th December. All starting from about 0930 and based at the Little Hereford yard used in 2007 (click here for map). For more information on the auctions contact Nick Champion.

Key facts about the Auctions for 2007:

• Mistletoe is plentiful, well berried and so prices are low for Christmas 2007
• (Holly is the opposite, lots of foliage but few berries, so prices are high for good sprigs)
• The Auction's out-of-town location worked well for buyers and sellers - but the town missed the buzz, footfall and spending associated with the auctions
• Long-term location unclear - but Tenbury traders and Councillors would like to keep it in town.

This picture (below) shows John Challis, at the Fund-Raiser event in October, recalling his appearance in Dr Who in the 1970s, when he was chased by a Giant Vegetable and drowned by a Malevolent Pondweed.
